Hugh St Clair writes on art and interiors for national and international magazines and newspapers.

Hugh St Clair frequently reviews books for The Critic magazine.

For ten years he was a columnist, feature writer and critic for The Lady Magazine. He writes features for English Home and House and Garden among other lifestyle publications. His writing has also appeared in, The Art Newspaper, Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, Telegraph, Guardian, London Magazine and in free in-house and in-flight magazines.

He contributes to Bonham’s Christies Sotheby’s auction catalogues.

He is the author of five books, Millers Guide to Art Collecting, three volumes, Collecting Affordable Art and  A Lesson and Art and Life, the Colourful World of Cedric Morris and Arthur Lett Haines, Pimpernel Press.

He is currently working with Cheerio Publishing  www.cheeriopublishing.com and www.dialoguescouting.com
 to develop a Lesson and Art and Life, the Colourful World of Cedric Morris and Arthur Lett Haines, into a screenplay.

Hugh has trained with the charity The Reader https://www.thereader.org.uk/what-we-do and volunteers at Nazareth House Nursing Home, Hammersmith London selecting and reading poetry and prose for discussion with residents.
